In accordance with European regulation, the new legislation introduces rules on whistleblower protection. This came into effect on August 1st 2023 and has brought a number of obligations for employers to comply with:
Whistleblowing deals with situations where a whistleblower raises awareness of a possible violation that they have become aware of in the course of their work or similar activity and will not be penalised in any way. This obligation is introduced at the European level by EU Directive 2019/1937, and in the Czech legal system by the Whistleblower Protection Act No. 171/2023 Coll., effective from August 1st 2023.
Your organisation’s designated person, a Whistleblowing Officer, will post the necessary information for whistleblowers on your organisation’s website using a link. Your employees who already use Můj Up also have the option to make a report via the Můj Up web or mobile app.
Employees will then see the option to report potential violations in Můj Up. Other whistleblowers will have a link on your website where they can fill in the necessary details to report.
The Whistleblower Officer will immediately see the newly received notifications in a simple overview. This enables instant communication with the whistleblower.
The Up Whistleblowing module also automatically monitors compliance with legal deadlines and also automatically notifies the Whistleblower Officer.
